Scorched Waves (Left to right) are Jaren Wojcik, Tyler Armstrong, Tiernan Brinkman, Al Vuorinen and Damian Kessler. The band is known for their high energy music that translates to electric live shows.
The band recently released their debut L.P. “Televised Paradise” - the title track being the feature of this music video. Released in July of 2022, the album features songs about love, heartbreak, and more. It is available online anywhere you stream music.
“Televised Paradise” the song speaks to media corruption and its influence on all of us. To embrace the theme, the band took on caricatures of popular television tropes, all edited with an old-school CRT effect.
Shot in an attic, the band’s video fully encapsulates and embraces their DIY, low budget nature. Many shots were filmed with different band members holding up black sheets to create a background. The entire video was shot on iphones, propped up using microphone stands as a makeshift tripod.
Similar to the band’s album work, The video ends with a smashed TV. Nothing beats the intensity and energy coming from the glass falling in slow-motion, a shot the band was sure to include in the final cut.
