WE ARE

WRATH + LOVE.

WRATH + LOVE is an independent creative project exploring art, culture, and human connection through participatory experiences, storytelling, photography, film, and collaboration.

What began as an independent magazine has evolved into an ongoing platform for creating work that brings people together — online, in public spaces, and through live experiences.

Endlessly Evolving.

THE STORY

FROM A MAGAZINE TO SOMETHING MORE.

WRATH + LOVE began in Madison, Wisconsin as an independent magazine created by young artists and storytellers looking for a place to make and share work on their own terms.

What started small grew into a creative community of photographers, writers, designers, artists, and collaborators. With a team of roughly 15 people, WRATH + LOVE published stories, documented emerging creatives, experimented with photography and visual storytelling, and built a platform around the people and ideas surrounding it.

But the magazine was never really the point.

The point was creating a place for people to express themselves, discover each other, and make something together.

THE NEXT CHAPTER

FROM THE PAGE TO SHARED SPACES.

As WRATH + LOVE evolved, so did the format. Editorial expanded into photography and film, while stories moved from pages and screens into streets, installations, and live experiences.

After relocating to Chicago, that evolution took its biggest step forward with The Confessions Project — transforming anonymous stories into public installations, social storytelling, artwork, and an immersive exhibition.

WRATH + LOVE had moved from documenting culture to creating spaces where people could participate in it. The medium changes. The reason for making it doesn't..

WHY WRATH + LOVE

MAKE THINGS THAT MAKE PEOPLE FEEL SOMETHING.

There is already enough content competing for people's attention. WRATH + LOVE isn't interested in adding more simply for the sake of being seen. The project is built around curiosity, experimentation, participation, and human connection — creating work that asks something from the person experiencing it. Sometimes that's stopping. Sometimes it's looking. Sometimes it's writing something you've never told anyone. Sometimes it's walking into a room and leaving with a different feeling than the one you entered with.

Create work people don't just see. Create work they experience.
