SELF DESTRUCTION

The Art of Self Destruction is an editorial photo series exploring the internal realities of anxiety, dread, and self-inflicted emotional suffering through symbolic fashion imagery. Created under WRATH + LOVE, the project transforms difficult psychological themes into visually arresting work that invites interpretation rather than direct explanation.

The styling functions as metaphor throughout the series. Oversized platform boots symbolize the crushing weight of fear and anxiety, grounding the subject in a state of emotional paralysis. Barbed wire references the silence people often impose on themselves during periods of inner turmoil, where pain is hidden rather than expressed.

By merging fashion language with emotional storytelling, the series demonstrates WRATH + LOVE’s approach to concept-driven image making: using stylized visuals to turn abstract human experiences into memorable, conversation-starting work.
